Bamboo Fiber Material Composition
The term "bamboo fiber" is a general designation for a composite material consisting of the following components:
· 45% bamboo fiber
· 30% corn powder
· 5% wood fiber
· 19.5% melamine
· 0.5% polyamide resin
As bamboo fiber constitutes the largest proportion, the material is commonly referred to as "bamboo fiber."
Biodegradability & Safety
Bamboo fiber, corn powder, and wood fiber are natural and biodegradable. The remaining 20%, comprising melamine and resin, is not biodegradable. Therefore, the material is approximately 80% biodegradable.
It is food-safe, dishwasher-safe, BPA-free, and complies with international standards such as LFGB, EU food norms, and FDA. However, it is not microwave-safe and is recommended for use at temperatures not exceeding 70°C.
Production & Customization
This material must be formed using compression molding. It also supports large-area decal printing, as shown below. The plate cost for decal printing is relatively low.
